Long have Redd Kross rocked, and long have critics, devoted fans, and fellow musicians—such as Nirvana and Sonic Youth—bowed before the Kross and their self-aware brand of garage-born and psych-soaked rock and roll. Degenerate, sweet, tongue-in-cheek, and utterly fearless, Redd Kross have endured because they have always had the best possible attitude, combining smarts, smiles, and a total commitment to hair-spinning showmanship. After disbanding in the late ’90s, they reformed in 2007, playing sporadically to their fiercely faithful fans. Their latest album, Researching the Blues, was released on Merge Records in late 2012.
