About Steve Withycombe received degrees from the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Rhode Island School of Design. As the owner of Swithyco Furniture, Withycombe has been designing custom furniture, residential and commercial design build in Seattle. The beautifully crafted kinetic sculptures he is bringing to Bumbershoot were inspired by carnival rides, playground equipment and a launch chair. Many of these performances are special site-specific art happenings, which will appear spontaneously on the Festival grounds. Keep your eyes and ears open for this art that does not require a traditional venue or stage!Audience spectacle Areas Festival Grounds Tags spectacle Website http://www.swithycofurniture.com | |||||
